Description:  The second space stories is an excerpt from Edwin A. Abbott’s 1884 classic “Flatland : A Romance of Many Dimensions”. The author challenges us to imagine what life would be like in a world with only 2 spatial dimensions. This helps us understand what our 3D world might look like to beings who inhabit 4 or more spatial dimensions. The book was not very successful when it was published, but was rediscovered in 1920 after Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity was published, 6 years before Abbott’s death.

In 2007, Flatland has been adopted as animation movie directed by Dano Johnson & Jeffrey Travis.
