Title: Urban Astronomer # 14: The Self-Interview

Link: http://www.urban-astronomer.com

Description: It was a busy week, so in this episode we interview the guy behind the Urban Astronomer Podcast. Errata: At one point, while discussing ancient historical astronomers, Allen says that he wrote an article on Aristarchus who was the first person to have measured the diameter of the Earth. He was actually thinking of Eratosthenes. Also, a stadia is closer to 170 meters in length!

Bio: Allen is an amateur astronomer, an IT professional, a podcaster, a father of five beautiful kids and a barely competent chess player. He is also the director of the Astrophotography Section of the Astronomical Society of South Africa, where he coordinates and promotes the activities of people who are far better photographers than him.
