Podcaster: Allen Versfeld
Description: Episode 12 of the Urban Astronomer Podcast features an interview with Jen Millard, from the Awesome Astronomy podcast. Jen was in South Africa earlier this year, trying out a whole new way of studying exoplanets that I’d never heard of before. In this episode, we discuss her observations, and broader astronomy interests. But in case you’re worried about too much high-level technical science talk, don’t worry. She was able to simplify it and explain it in a way that I could understand, live in the interview, so I’m sure you’ll do just fine!
Bio: Allen is an amateur astronomer, an IT professional, a podcaster, a father of five beautiful kids and a barely competent chess player. He is also the director of the Astrophotography Section of the Astronomical Society of South Africa, where he coordinates and promotes the activities of people who are far better photographers than him.
