In this podcast, Megan Nieberding talks about Robo AO, a robotic adaptive optics system that has been installed on the 2.1 meter telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory.
Edit: Robo AO has discovered 5 out of 6 (not 4 out of 5) of the known quadruple star systems.
Bio: Rob Sparks is a science education specialist in the Education and Public Outreach (EPO) group at the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO) and works on the Galileoscope project (www.galileoscope.org), providing design, dissemination and professional development. He blogs at halfastro.wordpress.com.
Megan Nieberding is an astronomy graduate of the University of Arizona and an observing assistant on Kitt Peak’s 2.1 meter telescope where she runs the Robo AO system.
