Description: It’s the first ever QUESTION BONANZA! Featuring the questions of Professor Klay’s Astronomy 102 class at CalPoly State University! Tons of great questions, including:

What causes CME’s and what affects on earth do they have?
Where exactly does the sun set?
Why are supergiants like Betelgeuse and Antares red instead of blue, white, or yellow?
Does the moon play a significant role on earth?
Why do some stars end up as black holes?
What is the largest known planet in the Universe?
How long would it take a spacecraft to reach the nearest galaxy?
Can black holes ever become full?
What would life be like on a heavy planet?
What are solar flares and what causes them?
Why does earth experience seasons and do other planets in our galaxy experience seasons?
Why do stars twinkle?

Keep those questions about space, science, astronomy, astrophysics, and cosmology coming to #AskASpaceman for COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF TIME AND SPACE! Music by Jason Grady and Nick Bain.

Bio: Paul Sutter received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellow. He then spent three years as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Next-Generation Cosmic Probes at the Paris Institute of Astrophysics, and is currently an INFN Fellow in Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy, and a Visiting Scholar at the Ohio State University’s Center for Cosmology and Astro-Particle Physics. He is inexplicably drawn to positions with very long titles.
