Description: Many undergraduate students find summer research experiences an invaluable part of their education. Summer research lets students explore different fields of study and obtain skill that will help them in their careers. In this podcast, we hear from three University of Arizona undergraduate students who work with the National Optical Astronomy Observatory’s Education and Public Outreach Group about their summer research experiences.

Bio: Rob Sparks is a science education specialist in the Education and Public Outreach (EPO) group at the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO) and works on the Galileoscope project (www.galileoscope.org), providing design, dissemination and professional development. Ryleigh Fitzpatrick, Zack Watson and Becca Levy are astronomy students at the University of Arizona and work in the National Optical Astronomy Observatory’s Education and Public Outreach Group.
