Description: NASA Astronaut Rick Mastracchio is presently a member of Expedition 38 on the International Space Station. He is a veteran of 3 space shuttle missions and a Soyuz Mission, including 8 spacewalks to build & repair the ISS.

This is a recording of Rick’s live interview on Cosmic Perspective that took place on Nov 19, 2013.

Last Dec 23th & Dec 26th, Rick led an emergency spacewalk to successfully replace an ammonia pump that is used to help cool the ISS from the heat generated by the station’s electrical systems.

Rick will continue to work & perform experiments on Expedition 38 until May, when he will return to Russia on Expedition 39.
