Hurray! We got through our first week of the podcast! We’re heard some great stuff already and a nice variety, too. We’ve received nice feedback about the podcast and lots of emails requesting to contribute podcasts. That’s great! Keep it up! I heard Pamela say we have less than 100 open days left. At the current rate, we can expect to fill the year in the next month or so. If you are on the fence, get off it and join in and contribute a podcast while you still can.
A few listeners have suggested they don’t need to hear the theme song on every episode. We want each episode to stand on its own, so our initial plan was to include the theme song on every episode. But we realize for people listening to every episode, less repetition of the theme song might be a good thing. We are looking into it and will report back.
For the record, I love the theme song and will gladly listen to it 356 more times!
Also, a small programming note: we are publishing the episodes automatically on their publication date. Thus, most episodes will hit the feed and the blog in a very regular fashion. Because unpredictable things can happen with contributions, we may occasionally delay publication until later in the day. It hasn’t happened yet but it might, so don’t be alarmed.
And finally — we need more sponsors! Our listenership is trending into the 10,000’s and you are insane if you don’t sponsor a podcast or two at $25/podcast. You can dedicate a podcast to a loved one, commemorate an event, tell us about your business or just help out because you are enjoying the podcast. Use the PayPal link on the left or email us at info@365DaysOfAstronomy.org for more info.
Thank you!
I second (third, fourth….whatever) the theme song. I still smile every time I hear it and considering that it’s currently stuck in my head, I’m doing A LOT of smiling. 🙂
Every time I hear that theme music in the morning I just got to get up and dance on the kitchen floor. At this point my wife and kids are rolling their eyes!
Hello, I hope it will be possible to make the podcasts available in MP3 format or any other downloadable format. thank you.
I would like to know, who says “how far” his voice I recognized but can not replace the voice with a face.
Thought just hit me. Even though most of us have listened to 365days since the beginning, there will always be a new listener who hasn’t heard the song.

Who says “how far?” I don’t know for sure, but he sure sounds like Barney, the guy that hangs out at Moe’s Tavern on the Simpsons.
