First Chinese Launch of the Year

On January 17 at 02:35 UTC, a Chinese Long March 2D launched the Shiyan 13 satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in China. Little information about the satellite was released beyond the usual “space environment detection and related technology experiments”, except for that it used a “two-meter satellite separation device” for the first time.
