The Great North American Eclipse is coming to darken your world.
(At least if your world will have you in North America on August 21).
CosmoQuest was designed by a team of people who get rained on a lot, so all our science efforts rely on an internet archives instead of on new observations. This event, however, has us planning to actually go outside and look up.
Throughout the summer, I’ll be recording videos for Astronomy Cast that are designed to teach you how to safely observe the eclipse. The first video (weather permitting) will be recorded Tuesday July 27 at 1pm Pacific 4pm Eastern on the Astronomy Cast youtube channel. I’ll be (weather permitting!) building and testing a solar funnel.
Want to follow along? Click on the image below to embiggen, grab a couple dollars in supplies (and a telescope), andjoin us online next week! (We will archive the video for later.)
See you online!
