It’s that time of year again. It’s Vizzie Time. For those of you not aware of this (admittedly not well known) competition, the Vizzies are a yearly science visualization competition sponsored by the National Science Foundation and currently hosted by the good folks at PopSci.com (who hide a lot of content behind a location wall, so let us know if you can’t see things, and we’ll screen grab). You can learn all about this competition at the NSF and explore last year’s winners on Popular Science.

For the past few years, astronomy content has tended to place behind images and infographics from other fields. This is perplexing given the highly visualize nature of astronomy. If you are a photographer or data visualization guru, maybe you can change that.

Submissions are due September 15, 2015.
