Want a little arts in your STEM* to make some STEAM? The winners of the Global Astronomy Month AstroPoetry contest have been announced over at Astronomers Without Borders. Go over there and read the winning submissions from children, young adults, and adults from all over the world. Personally, I think the children’s poems are the best, for no other reason than sheer adorableness.
While you are there, AWB is looking to pair up astronomy clubs in North America and Europe with burgeoning astronomy clubs around the world. Twelve clubs from places like Uganda, Bangladesh, and Vietnam have signed up looking for mentors. Only 2 clubs from the United States have signed up to be mentoring clubs, and they’d love to see more participation! If your club would like to mentor an up-and-coming astronomy club somewhere in the world, please do check out their webpage and application form.
