Hello, Universe! And hello, fine people of CosmoQuest. My name is Nicole and I am the newest member of the CosmoQuest team. You may also know me as NoisyAstronomer and may have even been following along with my dissertation writing saga/complaints over the last few months on Twitter or Google+. (If you did and you are still here, I love you.)
I just moved from Charlottesville where I spent the last 7 years (gasp) as a grad student working primarily on a radio astronomy project called the Precision Array for Probing the Epoch of Reionization, or PAPER. I love radio telescopes, building new projects, and sharing the findings and techniques of astronomy with pretty much anyone I meet.
I’ll be helping here on the blog, on the main project site, and floating around on Twitter and other various social networking sites and science blogs. When I’m not online, I expect I’ll be fixing all the horrible grammar in my dissertation, building a tiny radio telescope in my backyard, and making comets out of everyday materials for the education and amusement of anyone around.
Thanks for having me on the team, and I look forward to working with you all!
