Description: The Planetary Society’s Mat Kaplan hosted recently hosted this conversation about the upcoming seven-year mission of OSIRIS REx at the 2012 Pacific Astronomy and Telescope Show (PATS). You’ll hear how the spacecraft will use a “pogostick vacuum cleaner” to collect a few precious grams of asteroid soil or regolith and bring it back to Earth. And you’ll learn how to enter the contest to rename target asteroid 1999 RQ36.
