Lunar Eclipse – Red Moon

Did you get to see the Lunar Eclipse last night? Some people had clouds, others were on the wrong side of the planet. But there are plenty of gorgeous pictures from last night’s event for you to enjoy! David Dickinson shares some lovely submissions over at Universe Today.

I took some photos out my window for a while, then finally braved the below freezing temperatures (April, really?) to catch the Moon’s slip into totality. I just had a little Canon point-and-shoot, but here are some of the best photos from last night from my apartment combined into one:

It’s nice to know that even with the least bit of equipment that we can still enjoy the spectacular sights that the Universe has to offer.

I’m already looking forward to the next lunar eclipse in October!
