Part of doing science is everyday learning more about science. Our understanding of the universe is constantly expanding, and as much as we try to learn there is always something as yet unread, and as yet unheard. To try and help you learn all you can and to keep up with our changing understanding of the universe we have created CosmoAcademy. We offer 4 different ways that you can learn and keep up.
Weekly Space Hangout
A joint production with Astrosphere New Media Association & Universe Today, the Weekly Space Hangout brings together the news writers to talk about the news makers. New episodes posted late every Thursday. Archive
Want to watch live? Episodes are recorded every Thursday at 10 Pacific (timezone converter)
Our goal is to bring you regular star parties using telescopes around the world equipped with webcams and CCDs. Using a Google Hangout On Air, you'll get a through-the-eyepiece view on the sky from both hemispheres (weather and equipment willing), and on both the night time sky and our own day time sun.
Weather willing, we host star parties Sundays, starting no earlier than 7pm Pacific. [Follow Fraser Cain on Google Plus for up-to-date info. See past observations in the [Star Parties|archives]]
Weekly Science Hour
Hosted alternatingly by Emily Lakdawalla and Pamela Gay, the Weekly Science Hour brings you lectures, roundtables, and discussions on a wide range of topics. Meet your science heros, hear what's new, and learn about how to engage in upcoming observing events.
Tune in each week at 4pm Pacific to watch it all live. Catch up on missed weeks in the archive
