To me, when a person feels the initial spark of curiosity about anything around them, they take the first step to being a scientist. Cultivating and nurturing that spark is the journey we all have the opportunity to take throughout our lives to better understand the Universe we live in. If we are to thrive as a species, we must have the courage to ask questions, formulate ideas and face the possibilities of not achieving the outcome we expected. Some might call this failure and, indeed, nobody likes the idea of failing. But to me, it's new information that we can use to push one step further towards the horizon of discovery! // I absolutely love engaging with people and getting them excited about science, astronomy and cosmology. If we can get a better understanding of the universe we're a part of, we gain a better understanding of who we are. For we are all in the cosmos and are all part of the cosmos. Every single person has the tools at their disposal to learn more about the universe, and I can only hope to help familiarize people with those tools as I attempt to wield them better each day. If we all work together to build this wealth of understanding, perhaps we will not only survive, but thrive as a species!
