    M42 The Orion Nebula

I took this photo a few weeks ago, but I have not posted it here. This is one of my better photos I have ever taken. It is of the Orion nebula or M42. In this photo it seems much of the color of the stars have been preserved. This is why it is my favorite, and even though I took is while back I felt the need to share it with you guys. Just go to this link, because I have uploaded it to my personal webpage. It is better on my website because, it can display low and high res without me uploading two different images.

I like the wide angle shots that put nebulae in context like this. That really helps a binoc-wielding dilettante like myself find them on the occasional foray. The colours in this example are beautifully subtle.
    Thankyou P.W.

Nice. Had a good view of Orion from a relatively dark sky last week. I think I was able to make out the nebulosity. Probably should have moved from under the flood lights though.
