    Jupiter

    Hi All.
Here is an image of Jupiter taken Saturday night from the Mingo observatory using a ccd camera and the 10 inch refractor. The avis were short, 30 sec. each. I combined 3 avis in registax5. I had about 900 frames to play with. l processed the final image in cs2.
    Clear skies to all Paul

The weather is discernible, but is it unusual to miss all the moons at this angle?

    Hi guy.
Thanks for looking. Middenrat. My friend Al Paslow bought a U TO cam from someone from pittsburgh for $40 dollars. This was his first time out with it, and only a test. The gain, gama, contrast, were turned down very low. He just wanted to see what a few seconds of avi capture would look like.

If the weather holds for the weekend we will give it hell. He also bought a atik 1c2 color ccd really cheap we will be playing with that to. I want to see if it is as good as my sac 7. take care and clear skies Paul.

    Nice contrast and sharpness.

If seeing allows more image scale would likely show more detail in a 10" refractor.

Very nice. That spot next to the GRS is really dark.
