    Invented beer and Australia or beer in
    Australia?

    Mmm, pointless question!

    I'm sorry I don't know why I asked that.

    Ferrets Anomalous are helping.

    The Blu-Ray was invented by Dick Seaton in Skylark of Perth Amboy to repel an attack by Marc DuQuesne and the Four Seasons.

    John Goodman refers to the ferret in The Big Lebowski as "an amphibious rodent".

    Oh I misheard that on the gripe vine I though he said "ambitious resident" it clears that up nicely, making mole hills out of ferret castles.

    Mole hills are the mounds of dirt excavated by the engineers as they tunnel under the walls of the ferret castles.

    This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be remember'd;
    We few, we happy few, we band of ferrets;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my ferret; be he ne'er so vile,
    This day shall rodent his condition:
    And gentlemen in England now a-bed
    Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
    And hold their fur coats cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

    I liked how Ferret Gump became a champion laser dot chaser, representing West Dakota, and then got to meet Emperor Pickles.

    A Tale of Two Ferrets has great chemistry and is full of ironic moments of the ferrous kind.

    Here Lies John Bunn,
    He was killed by a Gun
    His name was not Bunn but Ferret
    But Ferret would not rhyme with Gun
    So I used Bunn for it.

    Here Lies John Ferret
    He was killed by Bob Pettit
    The instrument of his death was a gun
    He was shot in the bun
    For this Bob was given a demerit

    I saw a ferret on the floor
    Brought down by a .44
    He drew too slow and didn't win
    I got the corpse and tanned the skin

    I bought the dried tanned ferret skin,
    needed it to keep my glasses in,
    if I had had them just before,
    might not have dropped my 44.

    Meanwhile, Emperor Pickles has been out on the stump in anticipation of the Super Tuesday primaries. In an interview today he admitted that standing on a stump for three days was boring, and asked for a book of rhymes and his .44 pistol.

    It is a tale of two ferrets, so it has both the ferric and the ferrous kind.

    Mössbauer spectroscopy is a useful tool for studying ferret chemistry.

    That's only useful for people who are doing noodling.

    I wonder if any one has ever done the Raman spectrum of chicken broth or noodles, just so they could say they have the paper with the title "Raman spectrum of ramen noodles". Hey Mike, want to co-author a paper ?

    I did find this lecture from Leigh entitled "Raman: Its not just for noodles anymore", but it actually just seems to be on non-noodle samples. The closest paper I could find was Detection of melamine in gluten, chicken feed, and processed foods using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy and HPLC

    I didn't realize the method could be used reliably on ferrets, having watched The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Ferrets.

    Ferrets uncanny sense of direction, (possibly ferric), has now been uncanned for sale as "Go Ferret"
