I just wanted to be a ferret keeper when I was
smaller. Now I do not want to be a ferret keeper.
    Must be a moral there.

There are three ages of a man: one where he wants to be a ferret keeper, one where he doesn't want to be a ferret keeper, and one where he wants to be kept as a ferret.

"Well, do you have any idea of what you want to do?"
    "Yes, yes I have."
    "What?"
    "Ferret taming!"

Your years of experience taming water bears should serve you well. Or at least serve you as the main entree, with a side of roasted potatoes and a lovely merlot.

What's the only thing saving the Earth from domination by giant space water bears? Ferrets.

    Water bears?

They're these big, furry, shambly animals that eat berries, salmon and the occasional camper.

    Do the eat ferrets?
I wish I knew all those years ago that simply joining this board and proclaiming myself to be rational would magically transform my uninformed opinions into science; it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.

Mostly just water ferrets, and the occasional fire ferret, but never air or earth ferrets.

Oh, they do all the time. For example, last Tuesday, I was talking to Bob the Ferret and he encysted that I take him to the library that afternoon, as his regular ride couldn't make it. Nervy little mammal.

The next time Bob the Ferret encysts, just pour water on him and he'll return to normal. For a ferret, that is.

"Bob the Ferret" was a popular game in Indiana county fairs during the 1940's-1990's. I would describe it, but anyone outside Indiana would immediately call the SPCF.

"No blood for oil" only just trumps "No hay for ferrets!" in the Letterman list of top ten protest signs.

By adding the appropriate detergent blood and oil can be made to mix.

Yes. Size correlates with a desire to keep ferrets.

As far as can be determined, there are no nine foot tall ferret keepers.
    The theory is strongly confirmed.

Is a Ferret Keep a tower to hold ferrets, or a tower made of ferrets?

Ferret-dûr was the lesser known tower of Mordor and was where all the ferrets and mäni other interesting furry animals were held hostage during the War of the Ring.
