Could cheerful ferrets be persuaded to take up knitting?

The sun was shining on the sea,
    Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
    The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
    The middle of the night.

    The moon was shining sulkily,
    Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
    After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"

It was a dark and stormy night....

A priest, a minister, and a parrot with a nervous condition walk into a bar...

Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

The minister wore a brilliant blue shirt. You know, the sort of shirt that looks less and less blue the more you grow aware it's actually green.

Welcome to you rich Autumn days,
    Ere comes the cold, leaf-picking wind;
When golden bales are seen in fields,
    All standing proud together;
And gallons of sweet cider seen
On trees in apples red and green.

    updated a bit.

Hope this new place is cleaned regularly,

Hearing the word "Bugs" sprung a reaction out of the nervous parrot. It immediately ducked its head low, lower than its ill glistened sharp blue black wing line. It then hobbled on to the back of the minister. A parrot's survival instincts will override any illusions of pride: Chameleon was now safe - lost in the blue green jungle bore with unconditional love upon the back and shoulders of the Deacon.

    ALTERNATIVE FAIRY TALES.
    a new series..

    DOZING DISHY.

The Prince advanced bravely towards the black
horror glancing quickly around his Shield of
Virtue. Giant thorns were cleared with swift
blows from the Sword of Truth. A little stone
bridge came into view with the Dragon waiting
at the far side, gazing down with evil,
    malevalent eyes.

    PHHheeeROARRRRR...

A stream of fire fell onto the path of the
Prince and he raised his shield...

    PHHEEeeROARRRRRRRR...

The Prince was surrounded by fire and felt
the heat in his hair. He held the Sword of
Truth tightly, he must aim at the heart of
    the Dragon.

    PHHilip...I am your mother!

    I...HUH!...

    PHHHEEEEROARRRRRRRR....

    Sizzle...

The Dragon departed with her pet. "Heh..works
every time my little Raven" she cackled.

An invisibility cloak and a charming smile would've worked equally well, no?

If we already subscribe to this thread, will the transition be seemless? Or will it be as unraveled as the old thread? Just curious.

And also, is the new abbreviation now CCFBPTTUK? Or should we continue to call it SNPBATPT? Perhaps it's time for the great schism we predicted awhile back...

    DONT DO THAT!

For a while there I was convinced I had made a
post so subversive the thread had to be
removed from the face of the Earth! (or just
    BAUT). Now I have a 42 year old pre-python
sketch going round and round my head.

Feldman, Brooke-Taylor, Cleese and the rest in
formal evening dress all standing singing.
"There is a ferret sleeping up my nose,
How it got there I dont know but now its
    there it HURTS LIKE HELL..."

    Oh gawd...

Sorry, I'm going to be completely serious here. I had absolutely nothing to do with that and the only people that can change thread titles are moderators. I'm a little surprised and annoyed that someone would do that, but I'm also beyond caring.

Frankly, given the "warm" reception I had to preemptively getting things started on a new thread, before ToSeek just came in and shut the old one down... well, it soured me to the whole thread and to a great extent, Fun-n-Games. Anyway, you all have fun... I now return you to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

Too bad the old, now-closed thread couldn't simply be renamed (SNPBATPT Episode 1?), so that this new incarnation could continue onwards with the same name it has always had.

ETA: For the record, though, either title that's been presented (or any other) will be fine with me so long as this thread remains home to the silly and non-sequitur.

Dang...just missed getting into the sticky
ex-thread thread! Could have left a nice
    promotion or something there! Ice-cream..
    roller-skates..post-it pads..white socks,
    whatever.

I got spurs that jingly jangly jingle.
Whats white with hundreds of spikes?
    Iced running shoes?

    sanctuary

Ahh, my dream place. Big, silent echoing
corridors with great paintings. Cozy library
full of volumes from floor to ceiling and
deep, comfortable armchairs where I can
snuggle down with legs over the arms. A pantry
with cupboards full of marzipan chocolate bars.
Display rooms with the latest technological
    marvels. And no one else

    Keep Out!
