    20/8 - polar filaments

    Sun with light mist and strong air today in athens guys.

    The disk remain very low and today. The only phainomena is ......

    2 detached prominences at SE and NW.

    1 Q.R.FILAMENT close at S.

    and 3 Q.R.POLAR FILAMENTS at S.

    THEO....what time of the day do you normally make your Solar observations?

    The last three cycles that I viewed since having H alpha on the sun all started with polar filaments so this is a good sign.

    Unfortunately I can't view your images without downloading a huge page of them which takes a half hour on my internet connection -- nothing faster available here in the middle of nowhere that works in our bad weather.
