Reuters: Several Apollo missions gone AWOL !

Check out this quote from a December 7, 2003 wire:

    http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsArticle...toryID=3950994

    ***************************************

"In 1962 President John F. Kennedy issued a stirring call for the nation to land a man on the moon by the end of the decade. Apollo 17 astronauts landed there in December 1972."

    ***************************************

So .... what happened to "details" like, say, Apollo 11 ?? What a weird wire !

It's just strange all around. The lunar explorations that NASA and the ESA have been discussedand reported on in the past. It seems Rueters UK wants to stir something up but what?

Well, giving them the benefit of the doubt, they article could just be trying to emphasize how long it has been since we have been to the Moon by mentioning the last mission.

That's the best I can come up with. If this is the case, it is very sloppy writing at best.
