Last year they started requiring a passport to enter the US. I won't go into in detail but it is basically from 9/11.

Going to the north of England in two weeks, staying for 2½ weeks. I already have plans for the 2nd to 9th (travelling the length of Hadrian's and the Antonine walls), but the start of the following week should be free to meet up or go see things.

I am hoping for a chance to meet some other bautians besides chrissy (and samiiee) with whom I'll be staying.

Well, I've finally met my first fellow Bauter. If you can call Gillian a "fellow". I visited her today the Ren Faire. Would have stayed longer but it was TOO DANG HOT. We Washingtonians are not used to this. I will have to do the Faire again sometime when it's cooler!

Thanks, Gillian, for the tour and especially for the shade. It was great to finally meet you!

Oh, and I forgot to take the good camera and the old one I keep in my truck was out of batteries. Story of my life.

Well, I haven't gotten the pictures in yet, but I suspect we're all still recovering. Poor Heather has to work today, but not until two, so she'll still be asleep now, like as not. We had fun despite the heat, though the amount of fun I had did kind of decrease as the weekend went on and the temperature didn't go down. They say we'll be under trees next year, but they said we would be this year.

I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch today with sts60, who happened to be in town for a visit. It was a pleasure to meet a nice guy for interesting conversation. I just hope I held up my end of it. [insert appropriate smilie here]
