    Bright Spots on Ceres

Wiki lists the nature of this bright spot on Ceres as uncertain. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Some background from the wiki page: This photo was taken around 2003-2004 by the Hubble Space Telescope. The resolution is about 30km.

I can't wait for Dawn to get there...

My first guess is "fresh" ice revealed by "recent" impact craters. By fresh and recent, I'm thinking perhaps less than 2 billion years old. Ceres is (after all) located IN an asteroid belt.

My bet is that Ceres is going to look very similar to Ganymede.
