Haze from hot weather, and quite a few clouds. Humidity is probably 30%. Good chance of rain (hope!). Temp probably 102 F. Calm.

A very comfortable and pleasant 71 degrees with some clouds. Based on what I've seen weather wise with much of the country sweltering in a heat wave, I almost feel like I'm rubbing it in...

Not a heat wave here, just normal temps. However, we're accustomed to average humidity of 10%, so this current (35%) ... yeah, feeling it a bit. Which is weird, because I was born/raised in Midwest (where 35% is bone dry). But it's been 20 years since I lived in humid country.

We do need rain. I don't mind sweating a bit.

Yay!! Big clouds building. Stormy to the east, with thunder.

Looks like our rainy season has probably started.

Highs in the 100s here. Be careful with popcorn thunderstorms--even weak storms can be deadly--as in the Night Of The Whippoorwill

As I type it's 102 103, 105 is the predicted high for Saturday and 103 is expected on Sunday. And then it's July in the South.

Triple digits and dryyyy in Indiana, we had a recent storm but with less than an inch of rain in the few places where rain made it to the ground (it knocked out power in several areas, though). Looks like fireworks will be banned for July 4 this year due to fire hazard.

Hot and humid here! As in 70F and around 60%, I think. I LOVE the great NorthWet.

After several weeks with hardly any wetness, we finally got rain today, but apparently we have a tornado now. Go figure.

You guys can quit rubbing it in any time you like.

I'm half hoping to bring the warm weather with me as revenge when I visit Oregon in two weeks.

Mid 60's (F), high teens (C). Scattered clouds, mostly sunny. A light, cool, breeze from the sea. In a word, perfect. Puget Sound Summer started on July 4 this year instead of July 5!

Let it stay that way for a couple weeks so I can enjoy it. We reached triple digits again today, though it wasn't quite as bad as it was over the weekend.

Absolutely perfect today! Clear skies, high temps forecasted to be in the mid 70's. This pattern is expected to be with us for a while, though everyone knows summer here starts July 5...Although yesterday was quite nice for a change!

Weather like this is what makes dealing with gray drizzle through the winter worth it! The only sad thing is now my yard will start to turn brown...along with everyone esle's around here. Small price to pay.

No tornado here, but with straight-line winds recorded as high as 88mph, didn't need to be. Our town was hit pretty hard. Storm came through last Friday, still some 1,900 without power. Took a drive around town to look at all the snapped utility poles, downed trees on houses, and there's a few cars that were flattened. Fortunately, no injuries directly from the storm were recorded. But with all those without power, and temps that have been near 100 degrees each day, I worry about the young, the elderly, and those with medical conditions.

While huge chunks from every tree lining my street came down, they missed my house. I had one tree in my yard come down, but it didn't quite reach the home itself when it fell, and it's not a particularly big one anyway. *We* were only without power for six hours on Sunday after a second storm came through and again knocked out chunks of the power grid. Was without TV/Internet/Cell service (tower damaged) for about five days, but those services have been restored for us now. I can't complain.

. . . working in the Insurance industry, I've been rather busy since Friday though. Fun stuff. Could have been much worse though.

Past 2 days mostly overcast, thunderstorms, rain or sprinkles, cooler (90 F). Very refreshing and much needed!

We're in the middle of a heat wave with this being the second or third day over 100, with heat indices around 105-110 or higher. Even with AC on constantly, it's over 80 in here and this building's only ~10 years old.

Still in a drought. Low chance for rain everyday that never materialize. Haven't been able to go walking, jogging or hiking in a week and probably won't for another couple days.

Then you don't have to mow it. It's a good thing!

Been nice weather, just the thing for a James Taylor concert at Tanglewood in the Berkshires, western Massachusetts.
Under the stars, out on the lawn. No worries. Currently 70° , wind calm, a little humid . My cat is starved for attention.

We have a ban on watering lawns here, but my Mom was told by the lawn care guys that she had to water hers after they applied some chemical or other, to get it down into the soil. So she had my niece and nephew chase each other around the yard with the hose-- accoplished the same thing, but with a plausible excuse.

    (Shhh, don't tell anyone.)

Scratch that. I was evacuated Tuesday, along with the rest of Mountain Shadows. The fire burned to within 500' of where I live. The homes of two friends were destroyed. I returned home a week after we were evacuated.

Here's a fantastic time-lapse video that shows you the five-day progression of the fire in just 16 minutes.

The last few days we've been swept with cooler weather and some highly desired rainfall.

It's been one hell of a summer.

Hot, humid, and generally vile, unless you happen to be hanging out at a beach. It is, of course, well known that sun, sand, water, and beach bodies are good anodynes to depression

At Patrick Air Force Base, FL, as I drove in at 8:00 a.m., I read 97 degrees on the electronic billboard thermometer.

That's no way to start a day!

Man, that sucks. I had been going to make some lame joke about how "hot" it is here (upper 70's, F) but you really gave me some perspective.

Thunder & lightning in the wee hours this morning, near Port Townsend, WA. That's a rare occurrence around here. It was very warm (for here) yesterday; today is cloudy and cooler but still humid.

It's been hot with thunderstorms at night here, with spectacular lightning, but it's cooled off today.

Partly because of all the smoke drifting into the city from forest fires in other parts of the province.

VERY heavy rain and 60F. 'Supposed' to clear up later today. Sure glad I planned an astronomy camping trip this weekend....yes, I'm being sarcastic.

Man! It's been thundering ALL DAY! The news showed a low centered to the south of us with the same weather just circulating 'round and 'round. I was sufficiently paranoid to unplug the computers and network gear and only just turned it back on. Right before another peal of thunder. This is really rare around here.
