Nasty, nasty sand and dust storm. Currently 3:20 p.m. CST. Winds maintaining 40 mph, sometimes gusting to 50 to 55 mph. Visibility is probably 1/4 mile. Temperature has dropped to around 65 F.

Really makes the case for putting your car in the garage. Hate to have a windshield frosted permanantly by a sand storm.
    Good luck.

It was 17 degrees Celsius and sunny this afternoon. I wore sandals for the first time this year. The park was full of people and dogs enjoying the weather.

Very cool, probably 45 F; breezy, mostly cloudy. Hopefully will NOT be windy today like yesterday. A very light dusting of snow on upper-most peaks of mountain range 13 miles to the east.

When we returned to Everett this afternoon we were surprised to see a little snow in the shady spots. The outside temperature, as measured by the car, was near 50F.

Level three blizzard (total whiteout) since 3pm yesterday. Do not even know the wind speed because the gauge was destroyed. We have run out of ore. Everyone is at the main accommodations area. You can go to the process plant and the truck shop via the arctic corridor; but all the vehicles to be fixed are fixed and you can not go outside to get more. The only thing one can do is clean up. We have hundreds of people stuck in Edmonton and Yellowknife who can not get to the mine site and hundreds here that want to go home---shift changes are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Lucky for me my shift change is not until the 4th of April: I hope the storm has broke by then!

We're supposed to now be returned to our regularly scheduled weather. High today forecast for 75 F, with sunshine and calm. Remainder of week to be in 70s to low 80s, perhaps a bit breezy later.

I just am NOT liking sandstorms or snow. Not this late into March, here!

Snowcelt, sorry for your weather. I was born/raised in upper Midwest of the States and know white-out blizzards and frigid temps. Hopefully everyone will be safe.

Here we are in the middle of a warm spell. Yesterday was nice and warm and decided to hike around the property. Got to a stream I haven't crossed in long time and now has a lot of water rushing thru it. Stepped on a peice of ice that I thought would hold my my weight. Then splash, over my rubber boots and now my left foot is sore. Had to hike the rest of the way way home. I aslo lost my earphones but given how my foot feels I leave them there. But I did see a a hare looks like he just about to change coats he was mostly white with a little grey showing thru.

Yesterday it got up to 28 C and now the weather is cooling off to more seasonal temps for around here. Snowcelt I hope you guys get out soon or when the next shift cahnge happens.

Sunny and Cold this morning. A little frost on the pumpkin -- if there were pumpkins!

You just can't wait for there to be pumpkins again, so you can smash them, can you??

Too nice to be sitting in the house working on this computer!! Sunny, probably 80 F, calm, no breeze, low humidity. I want to be out in the sunshine!

Yesterday was hot enough that I had to turn off the heating completely and open a window at work, must have been 15C or so.

Today was foggy and cooler, about 10C, so naturally it was today I ended up celebrating the equinox out in the forest. Oh well, at least it wasn't raining and the fog made our shadow silhouettes from the bonfire look really cool over the water.

Quite a lot of wind in Port Townsend Tuesday and Wednesday. Less wind yesterday, but more rain. And I wasted the sun early in the week when I should have been working in the yard.

AARGH. I just made a very long post in the wrong thread. If you saw it, pretend you didn't. I'll try to put it in the correct place now, I promise.

Meanwhile, on topic for this thread, the promising morning has turned cloudy on us.

It's been looking like Tatooine on a windy day since mid-morning: Sand and dust storm. I can *taste* the dust. Winds continually gusting, varying between 25 to 40 mph. Temperature is 77 F. Oh well, at least I'm having to work.

Absolutely lovely here in the Puget regions. Just like yesterday. I spent a lovely five minutes last night watching the ISS go directly overhead, crossing paths with a polar orbiting sat as it did so. Perhaps tonight I'll get ambitious enough to haul the telescope out.

I did, in fact, take the telescope out, and for the first time ever managed to catch the ISS with it! Awesome. Instead of a bright moving dot I saw two bright moving bars. Not to mention Venus, Jupiter, and Mars.

Not quite as sunny today. I feel bad for the folks in "Tornado Ally".

After an all day rain on Monday, which dropped over 2 inches of rain, we've had cool, dry weather and sunny weather in Houston. Somewhat rare for this time of the year.
