Today started off cloudy and about 7 C, now it's raining buckets and my umbrella is in the car which is about a 15 minute walk.

Upper 50's and it started to rain five minutes ago. Just beautiful. I'm sitting here with the window open, the fresh air blowing into my apartment, listening to the rain fall.

Well, except for the temp (lower '50's here), your discription could fit here. (Northern California).

A nice gentle rain...makes me sleepy.

It definitely makes me think of home in Oregon. If only it would last as long here as it does there. However, it is a very nice change after all of the cold and snow we had last month.

    I envy your rain!

We're 100% sunny (though I'm enjoying this too) and probably 68 F. Front door comfortably open.

I'm getting a share of R.A.F.'s rain. On the coast it's coming down like ice water though. Has that icepick sting to it. Yesterday was beautiful though and got a lot of gardening done.

We actually had a bit of winter (by Seattle standards) the last couple days--low/mid 40's and lots of wind and rain. What's up with that?

A very bright Saturday morning. The morning breeze though, is a rather sharp 43F. Coming right off the ocean it cuts a bit.

Sunny day, BIG blue sky, warm; probably 65F. Front door open and I've got Spring fever.

Don't forget to "Spring Ahead" tonight!

10 C and clear skies. Took a little hike in the woods with one of my nieces.

  11. #1061
4 degrees Celsius and raining. It rained yesterday too, so things are kind of gloomy outside. But I'm happy that patches of green grass are starting to appear.

  12. #1062
Sorry to do this to you Laurel, clear high about 10 C again the next week looks all sunny and not a bit of rain and highs about 12 C. This is the mildest and least stormy March in years. Part of me is liking this but another part thinks either this spring will be rainy later or really dry and both are not great.

  13. #1063
It's mild and sunny where I am today. Very spring-like weather. And there are purple crocuses growing under my neighbour's window.

We have a Cyclone heading for the central Queensland coast:

    Severe Tropical Cyclone Ului

It is going to hit at a force 3 on Sunday morning - right in the middle of my sales territory.

But Brisvegas is sunny and warm - a lovely autumn day with temps at 28 C

Well good golly gosh, our roads were icy slosh.

Yesterday we had a belter of a storm hit Perth. Hale stones the size of golf balls, lots of smashed windows, dented car panels, flooding, power outages and chaos on the roads.

I love crazy weather. There's something fun about seeing Mother Nature assert her power over the children. Most invigorating.

Heard you guys got it bad on the left coast....

Brisy missed our Cyclone - but all the backpackers have had to leave Airlie - no more naked board walk games for them...

And Spoons - I could say I like the new signature - but then again - I really don't care...

    Ah yes, Winter...

In Queensland that means you may have to wear shoes for a few weeks (though I am still amazed by how many people go all year without)

Queensland, where winter means you may have to don a jumper (sweater in american)

Winter in Queensland where you get the doona out of the closet for a month or two (quilt in american - I feel the need to translate)

yep - Brisvegas can sometimes drop down to 16 c at night in the coldest part of winter (that would be about 60 degrees in the scale invented by the 17th century prussian, based on the temperature of his wife's arm pit.)

I can just see I'm going to have to suffer through another winter on the beach at the gold coast - beats cabin fever in northern quebec anyday...

Record highs for the date yesterday all over the Pacific NW. Warmest winter I can remember out here (verified-we 'officially' had the warmest January ever recorded). Seattle recorded 70F in some locations. Back to low 50's and rain today.

I am most certainly not a shoe man. To me this is a benefit of winter, when the ground isn't so scorching hot as to necessitate foot-coverings or reenact Burning Feet Man.

Dust/sand storm! Very windy/gusty. Is hazy in town, probably dangerous (low visibility) on the high desert. Temperature is probably high 60s.

Well, .... we need the rain here in Rhode Island. HUH!!
Got 51 ° and rain.... in a big way, to be followed by more wicked rain.
The forecast does call for nicer weather later in the week and really nice for Easter. It's a good thing.
Too bad for the wet cellars. The ground is saturated from the last two big rain events. We will get 3 to 5 " of rain on top of that. Rivers are at and
above flood stage now. But we don't have the flat lands like other places where the rivers spread out for miles unchecked. Well, now we can better document the " 50 year flood plain " .

    Best regards,
    Dan

    Wiki:
300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high, and it had three decks
Hint: stuff the seams with wicking, and seal with pitch...

Another lovely autumn day here - 28 C (29 forecast for tomorrow) with a chance of a few showers - a few fluffy clouds out there at the moment.
