It was the extensive choice of Wines and Spirits that impressed me.

I've not had the Bruichladdich, either...yet. I do appreciate Ardbeg and Bowmore, though. My favorites remain Laphroaig and Lagavulin (I'm into a bottle of the 1991 Distiller's Edition now).
Well...except for that single dram of 30-year-old Macallan an inebriated D.C. lawyer once bought for me. What can I say? He'd never met an Alaskan and he took a curious liking to my hat.
I consume spirits purely for pleasure. Coffee, I drink for medical reasons. I was born without a caffeine gland.
Oh, looky there...my 500th post. That calls for a scotch.

Myself I like a Jura, or to throw a cat among the pigeons a Bushmills Malt.

I am very pleased with the new batch of moderators. I think I'll take some time off.
Forming opinions as we speak
I was neither displeased nor particularly impressed with the one expression of Jura I sampled. I don't mind Bushmills either. Although I have a penchant for single malts, I usually have a small selection of whiskies in the rotation at any given time. Currently:
Lagavulin 16
Lagavulin 1991 Distiller's Edition
Basil Hayden 8-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Jim Beam Straight Rye Whiskey
This roundup is notable for the absence of an Irish representative it usually includes.
Okay...I've hijacked enough, yes?
Congrats to Chrissy, too!
