Fraser. Some of the Mars soil analyses done by Pathfinder, I believe, indicated anomalous levels of uranium and thorium in basaltic rocks on Mars, an effect seen on our moon in some of the maria that has recently been taken to indicate that the moon was struck a polar blow, and the plumes of material migrated through the interior to escape in basaltic flows on the opposite side, with high levels of thorium. This may also be the Martian case.
