I am not pushing for a canceling of the repair mission but I was just wondering.
If a fatal failure is discovered in Hubble in the next couple of months, would we save much money canceling the repair mission? Other than reconfiguring the cargo, we would have a flight ready shuttle, so that money isnít wasted. The next mission could be pushed up assuming the crew is ready.
Does it come down to the price of the Hubble spares? Some of it was in inventory for many years so that money was already spent.
Just how much would we save???
