Disappointment over Mythbusters not touching anything to do with 9-11 Conspiracy, etc

At the official mythbusters forum at the Discovery Channel, etc - they will not allow any discussions to be made there, concerning the 9-11 myth. They say as if it is purely on emotional terms, they will not engage in this subject. That means, no scenarios will be entertained or talked about - that even remotely resembles what happened on 9-11. (meaning they will censor everything concerning this subject).

What Mythbusters could have done...
Is to do scale tests about whether a skyscraper structure - could come down, due to fire by jetfuel or not?
The big question is always - did the molten steel weaken by the jet fuel fire or not? enough to cause collapse... And would such a collapse happen as per 9-11? (Which looked exactly as a controlled demolition - fast rate of fall, collapsing within it's own footprint, with a billowing dust cloud afterwards).

And there is the matter of the Pentagon strike. What really happned there? Did a wide-bodied airliner crash there? or something much smaller?

The 9-11 controversy is all about how the buildings fell... Was that due to burning jetfuel - as we are led to believe this was the case... but the obvious sign is that it was by controlled demolition (because the building structure would not fall down, due to fire only, even a jetfuelled fire). The conspiracy is that we were lied to. Same for the Pentagon strike. That it was not a wide-bodied jetliner as claimed -for which there is no photographic evidence of, but of something smaller... and faster.

Astronomy does come into it - because these events happened in daylight, lit by the sun, on this Earth - and we are using all the tools modern science has to offer us. And astronomy is all about observation, observation, observation.
And hey - it happened in this universe, our universe.
Censorship on this topical issue, by this site - shows that there is a conspiracy present, whether knowingly part of or unknowingly...

And what about 'truth' and the American way? ...

One of the reasons that the nonsensical conspiracy theories regarding 9-11 are not a topic of conversation on this board is that there are people here who were personally affected by the tragedy. As such, re-hashing the events to discuss repeatedly debunked claims is not appropriate to an astronomy related board (your tenuous attempt to link them notwithstanding).

On another thread, you claim Apollo 11 was a hoax although subsequent missions were not. I strongly suggest that if you want to debate a topic, you return to that one.

Somehow a site by James Randi does not have the connotation of being open, honest and fair. He does not come across as that kind of guy, from what little I've seen of him, in various documentaries, etc. Although he does try to give that air...
