ok maybe ,just maybe the cloaking might be a possibility but the warp drive seems highly unlikely...this goes against everything we under stand of physics ....
I just dont think the universe was meant to be accessible to all corners of it.

oh how about the feel of the ride (traction,smoothness,steering,braking ,etc)
they say never say never but sorry this 1 is in the never catergory...(warp drive)

The curving of the light around objects is likely to be variable with frequency bandwidths. Complete cloaking across the entire EM spectrum will be very challenging. Henh! Henh! Henh! The shadow knows.

In the Star Trek universe, warp drive was first developed in 2061 by some guy considered a hero until a trip back in time revealed him to be motivated solely by the desire to make millions. 2061 is slightly more than 50 years from now, so maybe the show will actually be accurate on the first development of faster than light travel.

The real Zep Corcoran, young astronomy buff, also from Montana,near Bozeman, and I had a discussion of WARP drive on AOL's Astronomy Club forum more than 10 years ago...before they "inadvertently" had a memory meltdown, and lost all their posts...~ 40,000 I think. Well, this is life imitating art. Or is it science imitating art?
The first space shuttle was named Enterprise. So maybe the warp-capable ship would be named Zephraim Cochrane.
