Oh, good.
Oh, good.

I just realised that a member of FWIS who died recently was also a member here.
The user known here and FWIS as Russ, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2011.

R.I.P.
My condolences to his family.
RIP Russ
I'm very sorry to hear that. He hadn't visited BAUT recently, but I definitely remember his posts.

I'm awful sorry to hear. My condolences to his family, friends and all who cared for and appreciated him.
:-(
He used to be very active in the early days... R.I.P.![]()
sad news indeed.
I raise my telescope to his memory
I pop in and out. Facebook games hog a lot of the time I spend online. By the time I'm done feeding my fish, farming my farms, digging up my islands for treasure, and petting my pets, I'm ready to be off the computer for awhile. I have some pics from my Galapagos trip I'll likely post in a few days, though.
Paracelsus, who are you again?
Go ahead and tell us a little about yourself . . . but not too much.

Ok, that's enough
LOL!
Oh, good--I was worried that it was funny in my head but would come across as rude.

That is the danger of being a member who doens't use emoticons. </offtopic talk>
How did writers of ancient times (BC - Before Computers) ever get
ideas across to their readers without emoticons? It is a wonder!

I'm so used to Facebook now that I was looking for the 'Like' button on your post, Fazor. Where did the emoticon function go, anyway?
Never mind. I see them in the 'advanced' toolbar. Duh.
And emoticons followed soon after. There were 19th century emoticons, and Lincoln might have been an early adopter, but that's debated. I'm serious. See:

(Oh, correction, the Lincoln reference was a transcript made by someone else.)

And let us not forget about the emoticon liberation chant of: Let my emoticons go.

In case anyone wanted to know, I'm back and sufficiently cooled off now. See y'all around the fora.

Hooray! Glad to see you back here.
Just heard from her through Sammiie, she's ok but still haven't gotten the internet connection sorted out, so communication was through Facebook via Sammiie's phone.
From Samiiee: "she said to pass on that she'll be back soon she's just taking a break. Wanting to get everything sorted out"
