I don't think there is a universally accepted value. I suspect it also depends on their normal posting frequency. For some of us, it might be only hours before we are late to post.

It's part and parcel of being in a relatively tight-knit community like Baut, Geonuc. Sooner or later, people go missing, and sooner or later, it was bound to happen that we'd end up losing someone for real, and not just to drift.

It hurt when it happened, but I think overall, we're better for facing that risk. Our community is worth that.
