I think mahesh spends most of his time over at a cricket forum he once introduced me to. Given that the English cricket season is now in full swing I'm guessing he's busy over there, but if anyone hears from him it'd be nice to know he's doing well.

Since he introduced you to the cricket forum (have to remember to get to a game), can you check on him for us? And by getting to a game, we have a group of British ex-patriots here, who have a cricket league. I watch as I pick up the game when I was stationed in Britain.

I'll have a look around, but I remember when I initially went over there I signed up and then must've lost some of the details of my login, as I had trouble logging on again.

I'll dig around and try find the forum again, and mahesh, to check that all is well.

kleindoofy is not suspended. He certainly got infractions at various points (the last in 2011) and IIRC earned a suspension at some point, but he is not currently suspended.

Last i heard of him he said he was busy with other things, but that was in march i believe. I think he's still active on physicsforums though, so i presume you can contact him there if necessary.

Thanks, I've followed a few of his posts there. I miss him here because he was more didactic in his approach on BAUT, and I could get away with asking ignorant questions, even understanding some answers. Physicsforums is an altogether tougher lot, and KenG is a bit more, um, beyond my ken there.

I've often thought BAUT somewhat deficient in geology-related topics. Aurora not having posted since October of last year contributes to that deficiency, I think.

I was very nearly reduced to gibberish. I took an online course with online exams. My teacher flipped "the switch" on these exams in the last week of school. We could retake any of our tests and the exam as many times as we wanted. But good or bad, only the last attempt counted.

That plus too much coffee and little sleep nearly killed me:

"C, I can do better than a C if I retake these two tests."
Two hours later. "C+, I can do better than C+ if I score 5% higher on each of these three tests."
Three hours later "B, I can do better than a B..."

That could have gone on for days, but my wife told me she would kill me if I didn't stop.

I've been worrying about BigDon myself. When I first saw DoggerDan's aquarium thread I misread it as being from Don, but that corrected itself as soon as he said "three gallon".
