    Sunday

    According to Nancy and crew, rotation stoppage happens on Sunday. I don't think I really have to say anything about this, it will be yet another prediction that's come and gone and people will continue to live in denial that this thing won't be happening in the near future. It's a sad state of affairs.

    Reference? I don't see anything on Zetatalk(tm).
    Everything I need to know I learned through Googling.

    What’s so special about Sunday? I don’t think that Nancy will give again a precise date for “pole shift”. Even she will not make the same mistake twice.

    Maybe it'll happen after the Bengals beat Cleveland! \/ A sure harbinger of the coming Apocolypse, I assure you! :wink:

    All I know is that (aside from rotation stoppage not occuring) on Sunday, I'll be watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. vy for five in a row at Talladega Superspeedway. If anyone else here watches NASCAR, root for him for me. :P

    NASCAR? Always seems kind of slow to me. (Yes, I am aware how stupid that sounds, but I like to watch F-1 :wink

    Formula 1's good. NASCAR's better, though. The computers don't drive the cars. :wink:

    But they could, how hard is it to drive in a circle? :wink:

    <Nitpick>

    They don't drive in circles. It's an elipse.

    </Nitpick>

    But NASCAR's still too slow...

    I'll be horse back riding on Sunday. So if something happens at least I'll be in a remote area and have personal transportation, or if need be, dinner.

    Does this mean that it will be forever Sunday and we never ever have to go to work again? =D>

    Again!?!? Isn't that like the 4th or 5 th rotation stoppage, pole flip we've had this year? I've lost track, are we rotating clockwise or counterclockwise now? Is North still north or is North now South? Where does the sun rise these days?

    Actually this Sunday we will have a compromise between a NASCAR type track and a F1 type track. It’s Indianapolis GP !!! Maybe Nancy wanted to say: “the chances of having a pole shift Sunday are pretty similar with Villeneuve’s chances of winning Indianapolis GP”

    They don't always drive in circles. Sometimes they drive on road courses, paper-clips, and even eggs. :P

    Well, it's Sunday morning, 11:23am EST and I'm not dead. Wow, what a surprise.

    Rotation stoppage on Sunday....hmmm...that explains why the
    laundry is taking so long!

    Me either. Although, the site is a veritable maze of lunacy, and there is a possibility I may not be navigating correctly.

    I did find this page, which claims that Earth's rotation is still slowing (lol), but haven't seen anything about another "rotation stoppage" claim.

    So, what was the origin here?

    Thanks in advance if you can point me in the right direction.

    Hmm, if the rotation has stopped, then the sun must be moving, it's not in the same place it was this morning.

    Anybody feel like betting on how many wrong predictions she makes before people are at her door with pitchforks and torches?

    I'm guessing 13, 15 at the most.

    =D> You have just figured it out. Planet X has restored the earth to it's rightful place as the center of the universe. Now everything revolves around us, or more specifically, Nancy
