WHat happened?

I was away for awhile busy with life and I return looking forward to continuing conversation to find Intellectual Design thread was closed and Neverfly was Banned...

It's not so much letting old threads die, but here in ATM of lighting a 30-day fuze on any topic that may promote some ATM idea, so that the advocate is focused, responsive, concise, and unable to lobby without limit.

OK, supppose after 30-days of focused and concise arguments you assume the thread started has made a case for their argument.

I think the thread turned into more of a discussion than it did a debate for a ATM idea. Hopefully these type of discussions would allow one to see/understand, learn about and question not only others viewpoints, but their own as well.

Where could I post such discussion?

Ideally, an ATM thread will be fairly focussed. An idea is proposed, and discussed. After thirty days that thread closes, but NEW aspects of the topic can be opened for new discussion. New evidence, new reworking of the idea, narrow focus on a particular aspect. All of these can justify a new thread. It is a judgment call by the community that reads the ATM section whether some new thread really is new, or simply a rehashing because the original poster keeps assuming that opposition to his/her idea is only because he/she hasn't repeated it often enough.
