    Widefield M-57

Two straight nights of clear skies - too much to let slip by after several weeks of clouds. Got up at 4:00 am - moon about to set in the west. Had already set up my CG-5 and polar aligned it last night. Mounted my camera and guide scope - used 200mm lens plus 2x extender effectively 400mm at f/5.6.

Who would have thought you could see that small nebula at this focal length? Nice shot.
