    Does anybody know what is the largest star known?

    Found the answer here . The Pistol star is about 100 times the Sun's mass.

    Thanks, but I mean in terms of physical diameter, not mass.

    Well this gives VV cephei as the largest volume star. For some reason I was thinking that mu cephei or Mira was the largest. Betelguese is also mentioned as one of the largest stars. Apparently it was the largest star after the Sun in angular diameter until recently.
