My daughter has a school project to create a (not-to-scale) model of a Lithium-6 atom. I've suggested creating the nucleus out of six balls to represent the neutrons and protons.
I've looked for, but cannot find, a good source for how the nucleus is arranged. The most promising leads were academic papers I don't have access to.
Does anyone know how the nucleus is constructed, preferably with sources?
I did find one page at http://www.guns.connect.fi/innoplaza...book/0904.html But I don't necessarily trust it.
