I voted ad astra! I like the feeling of security I get from seeing those big numbers after "To Seek." Makes me feel that there's someone out there who really knows how this place runs. :wink:
And if a third person recognizes the "kilopi limit" it may take on the status of board etiquette. Do you really want that on your conscience? :wink:

When the time comes for me I'll have to make the decision there, and not here, in the past.I think it should be up to the person, what they think. I was kind of worried that a post limit might start and then if you want to go beyond that and keep your user name you would be a pariah.. I certainly won't think that way. The choice is yours, ToSeek.

After the whopping seven votes that have been recieved so far, I'd say that it's up to you in the long run. Six of us feel that someone needs the Bad Post-Doc ranking. I'm one of those. Maybe the post limit can be established after that, but until that time comes, I'd say, "Go for the gold."

I thinks grapes was pretty clever about the kilo-pi thing, but those getting close to the kilopi limit shouldn't feel obligated to change their username at 3142. Roll on!

Accomplished or no ToSeek - you definitely have contributed volumes to this board. There are some who are no less deserving than you to become a Bad Post-Doc - but definitely nobody more deserving.

Well, Grapes turning his name to kilopi (kilo-pi), I beleive was part of his humor. (Besides being easier to type.) g99, I believe, was just feeling guilty that he accelerated on "fluff" posts.
I actually voted the third choice. I know there is nostalgia with reaching the new levels, but it really is just a measure of post count, not "astronomy-know-how count!"
Although it could be our own little "game" we have on the Board, I at least would be getting annoyed by everyone changing their names! (And then we would have to keep explaining to new people why some posters were being called by two different names, and ya-da ya-da ya-da.)

ToSeek: Neb. was right. I did not feel that i deserved to pass Kilopi. Many of his posts have value. Most of mine don't. Go for it.
Now Canuck: i know you better not think about passing 3142. You definitely don't deserve that. :-P

So ToSeek. the ionly thing i ask if you do not pass the kilopi limit is to put something in your farewell post saying that this is a personal choice and not a requirement.
