Escribir en una septima lengua es siempre dificil.
I wish I knew all those years ago that simply joining this board and proclaiming myself to be rational would magically transform my uninformed opinions into science; it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.
?Una septima lengua? !Eres muy intellegente!
The present perfect tense is used to discuss things that have happened in the recent past.
Examples:
Sir Arthur Clarke ha muerto.
Sir Arthur Clarke has died.
Cassini ha visitado Enceladus, la luna del Saturno.
Cassini has visited Enceladus, the moon of Saturn.
Los astronaves de Endeavour han vuelto de Tierra.
The Endeavour astronauts have returned to Earth.
The only one I know.
Una cafa con lecture, poufavo
One coffee with milk please
With my guess at spelling I expect I'd get a slap from the waiter though!
It would actually be spelled more like this:
Una cafe con leche, por favor.
A little paragraph I wrote for practice. Tell me if I made any mistakes:
En el diez del Octubre, una aventura muy grande comenzara en Cabo Canaveral, Florida. En la cohette de espacio, Atlantis, siete astronautas saldran de la tierra para ayudar el famoso teloscopio Hubble.

Mind you, KaiYeves, this is not the best place to ask advice about Spanish. I can point you to a good one, if you wish.
I don't know how to do accents on this computer (my mom's).
My textbook last year used cohette de espacio.
Thanks for the hints. This is a fun way estudiar Espanol.
You can copy and paste the characters from existing text, or learn a little code. See here, for instance.

Wow, I didn't remember this thread at all, despite my recent attempts on here at brushing up on my Spanish. They've tapered off, not because I've quit trying, but because I found a forum specifically for English speakers (or anyone else, for that matter) trying to learn Spanish, as well as for people trying to learn English.
It's great help to converse with people who have Spanish as a first language.
I'm trying to write something about El Premio X De Ansari, I'll post it when I finish.
