    Jaws of a moray eel

Remember the scenes in Alien movies where the creature opens its jaws and the second set of jaws comes out? Apparently it is not science fiction:

Truth is sometimes as strange as fiction. Echo Swift's sentiments otherwise.

An old B.C. comic said it best:
    If an eel lunges out,
And it bites off your snout,
    That's a moray...

I've seen something similar in some predatory cichlids. Just not that well developed.

Moray eels are very cool. At a local aquarium, there is one that lives in a little cave in the shark tank and I go and watch it sometimes, just to clear my head.

Don't put your ear against its cave or it really will clear your head.

Listen, just because I said in that stamp thread that Hoagy looks like my dad doesn't mean I'm stupid. I've got lots of brains from my mom's side. ;-)
