help with asories for astrophotography

i just received my new older celsetron c8 and i am instreted in astrophotorgrphy.
i have some camera equipment, such as a canon 5d, and an xti, i have any lenses that might be required for a piggy back setup, however i would like to just shoot though the scope to begin with,
i as well have the canon t-mount, now i need to know what i need to take (great) pictures of the moon for starters, and then other planetary objects, then some time work to deep space objects. thanks for the advice. if there are any questions i am more than able to answer them.

Those are beautiful pictures - you should have no problem with the astro stuff. I'm sure the folks here will assist you.

Do you have a visual back for your C-8 and does the scope have a tracking motor. You say you have a t-mount for the camera, are you able to couple the camera to the back of the scope.

I use a etx 125 for almost all of my work, but lately a friend gave me an old orange C-8 with a tracking motor to play with so I have been. If you dont have a visual back you can get one for a good price on e-bay. If you would like I can take a photo of the set up that I use and send it to you or put it on this forum.. Paul

That is a modified visal back that was made to hold heavy cameras. I was on e-bay this evening and there are afew adapters out there on the celestron site. cheap. later Paul
