Thread: ORANGE! ORANGE!

    ORANGE! ORANGE!

So, I was perusing Godlikeproductions (yes, I know how incredibly stupid that is, I just can't help myself sometimes) and came upon a thread discussing how the sunset in various places was unusually bright/orange/red. Not knowing much about astronomy, myself, I just wanted to ask what exactly its supposed to look like during these times (ie. summer). Its looked pretty damn normal to me, not to mention its been right on time (although I'm sure its just some government coverup ). I can't understand why these people are freaking out about the various colors in the sunset (haven't they always been red, orange, and every other color in the rainbow?). Also, has anyone on this board noticed anything odd about their sunsets (too bright, etc), I know I havent.

There is nothing unusual in any of the sunsets I have seen. Some, not all, of the posters at GLP are truly delusional, will not accept any scientific explanation for what they are seeing, and what's worse, feel that those of us, meaning the majority of the human race, that see nothing unusual must be dis-info agents. Last night someone posted about a supposed second reflection of the sun near Mexico in a weather satellite loop and that it was evidence of PX. Funny how there was no second reflection anywhere else. When someone pointed this out they ignored the question and basically kept changing the subject.

Those in the path of the smoke from the fires in the southwest US may see redder than normal sunsets. 8)

There was something weird about the sunsets last week. Like, they never stopped - the sky went to dusk and kept being bright for hours. Lots of weird weather too; sunny day after day, except for a brief hail shower. And lots of itty bitty insects all over the place - they probably sense the Nazg... I mean, PX approaching.

(of course, that I was on vacation near the arctic circle had nothing to do with it...)

Holy *$@! that means that I have been witnessing a massive goverment conspiracy my whole life!
j/k Those colors are completly normal for sunsets. Somthing about the blue color of the sun's light not being able to reach us.....or somthing.

AstroSmurf: Vacationing near the arctic circle?! People look at me funny if I tell them I spent one spring break in Calgary and Edmonton. Anyway, I'm sure it was time well spent.
