Please forgive my layman terms, however, I have a thought about gravity.
If I understand this, the graviton messenger particle reaches out between 2 masses, like the Sun and Earth, giving us our gravitional attraction. If the Sun were to disappear, the earth would not feel the loss of the sun's gravity (graviton) for the 8 minutes.
Here is my question?
Is it theorized that the graviton is actually making the "trip" between the sun and earth? That each graviton (like a photon) is making the trip?
Here is my thought.
It makes better sense that the graviton is actually "messaging" between each particle around it and so on and so on. A daisy-chain of messaging particles from the Sun to the Earth and beyond. I guess another analogy would be a "whip".. from the initial wrist snap, the energy travels down to the end of the whip. Maybe the graviton is "whipping" through dark matter?
Although this idea may already be accepted or crazy in thought... I figure that Baut is the best place to find out.
