Moving back to the OT for a moment, I just stopped in our office lunchroom and there was a bottle of dish detergent on the counter.

It read, "Ultra Palmolive Original".

Really, original? I would have guessed that there was a "just plain" Palmolive before there was an ultra one.

In my opinion, the whole thing came across as "look at this guy willing to stoop to a 24k/year job!" which rubs me the wrong way when that's about what I make. It's very possible that that's not what the tone of the article was meant to be, but it's how it came across to me.

Part of that has to do with the fact that I consider it a fluff piece of news -- something that really shouldn't be "news" to begin with. Which, to me, always makes a story seem like it's trying to be "cute"

Let's see, with 32 teams the NFL could stage 16 games simultaneously at 1 pm EST on Sunday -- but there'll be three or four 4 p.m. games, one for Sunday night, another for Monday night, and now and then a "bye" week and/or a Thursday or Saturday game in there -- so I'd guess there are never more than nine or ten games going on at once.

Now, with college games and a good cable or satellite system, you could have dozens of choices.

Well, there is a Lancaster Ohio, but those are Marzetti brand which is based just up the road in Grove City (though they list themselves as Columbus, it's Grove City.) I used to work across the street from their factory. Always smelled like Ranch dressing.
