Those two people are a scream!!! I've never seen anyone rip off scriptures mid-sentence while preaching about the end of the world, week after week afer week!!! And yet, it's always with a smile on their faces! (probably because they're thinking of all the $$$ flowing into their account). On 2001-10-26 01:58, StarMan wrote:

I don't feel you chaps are taking the awesome nature of HELL and the PRINCE OF DARKNESS and VERY SHARP PITCHFORKS entirely seriously. The chap who hears demons, however, needs secluding in a well-quilted cell with a blunt spoon to feed with.
For your information, I have two inkwells, seven fountain pens and a quill.
And no demons.
Dr. Robert Herman (forgive me, he is a creationist scientist among many other things) gives the origin of HELL as the Hebrew word Sho'el. This word may mean "A Pit" or even "A Grave". He says that the primary meaning in the Old Testament et al is that of a burning pit located outside of Jerusalem which was used for disposing of garbage (and infant children in ancient times as sacrifices- his words, not mine)So going to HELL was very literally being thrown into a terrestrial fiery pit. I really do like Dante's version though....
If Hell is located on earth, we have to find it's where about and ban folk to get in On 2002-12-21 04:34, amsppro wrote:

if it's in space, it must be too expensive and u need to be an astronaut with an expensive suit
in both cases u have a very slight chance to go to Hell. it's just a dream

IIRC, it was "Gehenna" that was the burning pit outside Jerusalem... (Hm... a few moments' research doesn't support that... Sigh...)On 2002-12-21 04:34, amsppro wrote:

Dante! Yes yes! He found a way in (and a way out!) And Herakles and Odysseus and Orpheus and others were able to take the round-trip. (And Arne Saknussem...)
